Here in Whistler, we are lucky to have so many activities at our doorstep. But given the wide range of options, it can often times be overwhelming choosing what to do while here. The choice is even more difficult when you are travelling with children; you need to maintain a good balance of adventure while not being too juvenile for the adolescent and teenagers in the family. We have created this list of top 5 summer activities for families while in Whistler to help make your vacation planning easier.
Multi-day discounts are available if you would like to do more than one activity, so give us a call at 604-938-9242 to book your ultimate family vacation!

A mixture of hiking and climbing, scrambling is a method of travel that isn't completely vertical, but no walk in the park. It is challenging, yet not impossible for young ones, giving the high alpine thrill while still having ground underneath your feet. You use all four limbs to help in your ascent, promoting agility and problem solving as you navigate your way to the top. Once at the top, we take the chairlift down, providing you a safe, comfortable ride down after earning your way up.
Ages 10 and up are welcome on this trip, so come check out the alpine using your hands and feet!

Not only is this the most exciting summer adventure, it is also the most unique in that it is the only Via Ferrata in Whistler. Via Ferrata means "Iron Way" in Itialian, the inventors of this exciting method of Alpine travel. We have set up a series of metal rungs and steel cables that allow you to climb just as you would climb a ladder. You are harnessed in the entire time, allowing you to move swiftly without the worry of a large fall.
It is a way of exploring the alpine rock environment without necessarily having any formal Rock Climbing experience. It is also an efficient way to cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time. Both kids and adults will appreciate the challenge, and the fact that it is something that you don't see or do every day. It' is a uniquely Whistler adventure that will definitely be a highlight of your Whistler vacation experience!
Ages 10 and up are welcome.
