Basic Rock

Learn the fundamentals of safe, roped rock climbing! The 2-day Basic Rock course is our most popular novice climbing program aimed at people with little to no rock climbing experience.

The goal of this program is to introduce you to the basic principles so that you can begin to confidently set up and climb your own outdoor top-rope climbs.

In This Course:

Learn about the use and care of the equipment, knots, top-rope anchor construction, belay systems, movement skills, rappelling, rope management, hazard assessment, and cliff edge safety.
