Overnight Hut - Based Ski Touring in the Whistler Backcountry

Stop skiing in other people’s tracks and head deep into Whistler's backcountry! Tour some of the best backcountry the southern Coast Mountains have to offer on this exhilarating overnight trip with a professional ACMG ski guide. This is a great way to experience backcountry skiing in the Coast Mountains with the convenience of a cozy mountain hut to spend the night. You will learn about travelling into the backcountry, route finding, avalanche safety basics and enjoy some powder turns in fresh coastal snow.

Skiers, snowboarders and telemarkers are welcome.

Location is chosen depending on current snow conditions.

$425.00 per person

+$35.00 powder touring ski or splitboard rental

+$45.00 backcountry lift pass (if applicable)

+ applicable hut fees

Backcountry equipment rental prices

Included: 
  • Expert local, Association of Canadian Mountain Guide (ACMG) certified guide
  • Avalanche safety equipment including:
    • digital Backcountry Access avalanche transceiver
    • extendable shovel
    • G3 probe
  • Group camping equipment for small groups

Details: 

Dinner and breakfast can be arranged for an additional cost of $25 per person / per day (dietary restrictions must be disclosed at time of booking)

You will be responsible for your own snacks and lunches

*If providing your own food, parties must pay $25 per day for their guides meal plan

Suggested Prerequisites: 

Participants must be comfortable and confident on blue (intermediate) runs in a variety of snow conditions.
