Intro to Ice Climbing

Learn to ice climb this winter in Whistler. This two-day course is designed to teach you the basics of ice climbing.
We strive to provide you with the knowledge and confidence to continue climbing on your own after the course.
Equipment selection, ice axe and crampon technique, hazard assessment, ice anchors, belay techniques, movement techniques, rope management, and retreat from ice climbs will be covered. Our intimate class size ensures one on one attention.

Ice climbing areas extend from Whistler to Lillooet. The location is selected based on ice conditions, and participant’s experience and objectives.
