Required:
• 80-hour first aid certification e.g. Wilderness First responder with CPR-C, Outdoor Emergency Care or OFA3
• Canadian Avalanche Association, Avalanche Operations Level 1
• Practitioner status is preferred, but there are opportunities if you do not have it yet
• Previous teaching experience is preferred, but training and shadowing is provided.
Guiding work includes, but is not limited to:
• AST1 (Classroom and Field Day)
• Intro to Backcountry
• Snowshoe hikes
• Foundation Clinic
• Tail guiding with ski guides (unpaid practicum)

This position is 5 days a week during the months of July & August. Our Kids Camps run in Whistler & Squamish from 9 am to 3 pm. If you have the right qualifications, there is potential for more work in the Fall.
Required
• 40-hour first aid with CPR-C at minimum, 80-hour preferred
• Previous experience working with children is essential
• Outdoor skills are an asset, but not required
Camp activities include:
• Hiking
• Rock climbing
• Via Ferrata
• Outdoor skills e.g. shelter building, navigation, knot tying
Required:
• 80-hour first aid certification e.g. Wilderness First responder with CPR-C, Outdoor Emergency Care or OFA3
• ACMG Top Rope Climbing Instructor (TRCI), Apprentice Rock Guide (ARG) or Rock Guide (RG) certification
• Climbing log appreciated, but not required
• Previous guiding experience is an asset, but not required
Guiding work includes, but is not limited to:
• Single-pitch climbing (half- and full-day)
• Multi-pitch climbing (half- and full-day), e.g. Star Chek, Conquer the Chief
• Climbing courses (one- and two-day)
• Assisting Kids Camps as TRCI for top-rope climbing
• Teen Climbing Camp (five days, July & August only)

Hours: 3 x 10-hour days a week, option to increase dependent on operational demands.

Main roles and responsibilities:
• Help clients with any bookings and enquiries by phone and email.
• Assist the office team with any administration tasks as required.
• Have good knowledge of outdoor activities and aid clients in booking the right product for their needs.
Qualifications/assets:
• Demonstrate excellent client service and sales skills
• A positive attitude and ability to work well both alone and in a team
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent verbal and written English language skills
• Good computer/Mac knowledge and ability to navigate Google Drive
