We will be providing 100% credit for any guest who feels ill on the day of their tour/course. If a client is deemed to be displaying symptoms, they will be asked to leave the group and given a full credit to use at another date. For our full COVID-19 Protocols CLICK HERE.
Additional Camp Policies:
If a child misbehaves to a point that they are disruptive to the camp and other children’s experience and/or their behavior or ability is a safety concern, MSAA reserves the right to ask parents/guardians to remove the child from the camp without a refund.
All guests must sign a release of liability waiver prior to participating in any activity. Guests who are 19 years and older sign their own waiver. Guests under the age of 19 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver on their behalf. Please preview the waiver here: MSAA SmartWaiver
Next day bookings are taken up until 5pm the day before any tour or course. *Subject to guide availability. We do not take same-day bookings however if you phone the office we will do our best to see if we can accommodate your request.
Book Now, Pay Later
Half-day and Full-Day Adventures: Book now with a 25% deposit and pay later. Full payment must be made at least 30 days before the adventure. Within 30 days, full payment is required at the time of booking. *Cancellation policy (see below) applies to the 25% deposit.
2+ day adventures, and all courses: Book now with a 50% deposit and pay later. Full payment must be made at least 30 days prior to the start date of the booking. within 30 days, full payment is required at the time of booking. *Cancellation policy (see below) applies to the 50% deposit.
Book Now, Pay Later is not available for any products that use a helicopter or for any of our custom products e.g. Custom Mountaineering.
Late Arrival Policy
Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late for an activity forfeit 100% of the tour price. Tours leave promptly; it is recommended to arrive 15 minutes early to sort out gear and sign waivers.
Applicable to all tours and courses*
If conditions force us to cancel a course or trip we will do all we can to accommodate you at another date. If this isn’t possible we will offer a full refund. We reserve the right to decline rescheduling dates based on availability. *Does not apply to First Aid and Wilderness First Aid courses.
Adventures Cancellation Policy:
Half-Day and Full-Day Programs
- Within 48 hours of start time: Cancellation will result in a 100% forfeit of tour price, no rescheduling.
- More than 48 hours: $25 rescheduling & refunding fee (per booking).
- 2 Day Programs: Within 10 days cancellation notice will result in a 100% forfeit of tuition, Outside of 10 days: $25 rescheduling & refunding fee.
- 3+ Day Programs: 30 days cancellation notice will result in a 100% forfeit of tuition, Outside of 30 days: $75 rescheduling & refunding fee.
- Customized Trips: 30 days cancellation notice will result in a 100% forfeit of tuition, Outside of 30 days: $75 rescheduling & refunding fee.
**On all multi-day trips pre-arranged add-ons are non-refundable (food, accommodation, etc). If you are booking a multi-day trip or course we strongly recommend you purchase Trip Cancellation Insurance prior to your booking. Alternatively, if you are able to find someone else to take your place please let us know as we are more than happy to transfer bookings.
1-2 Day Courses
- Within 10 days: Cancellation notice will result in a 100% forfeit of tuition
- Outside of 10 days: $75 rescheduling & refunding fee.
3+ Day Courses
- Within 30 days: Cancellation notice will result in a 100% forfeit of tuition
- Outside of 30 days: $75 rescheduling & refunding fee.
**If you are able to find someone else to take your place on a course, please let us know as we are more than happy to transfer bookings.
Academy Cancellation Policy:
- Within 8 weeks of first course: Cancellation notice will result in a 100% forfeit of tuition
- Outside of 8 weeks: $75 rescheduling & refunding fee.
Gift Certificate Terms and Conditions
For gift certificates purchased the following terms and conditions apply:
- No expiry date
- This certificate is valid only with Mountain Skills Academy & Adventures
- The certificate is transferable but not refundable or redeemable for cash
- In the case of a lost or stolen gift certificate MSAA requires a photo ID of the original payee
- Any balance remaining is not exchangeable for cash. It will be held as a credit for future use.
- Any additional cost exceeding the value of this voucher will be paid by the redeemer.
Such as restaurants, active agents and transportation may play a role in making the tour happen, and that the Company cannot be held accountable or liable for third parties conduct. Although the Company represents that it contracts with reliable, professional and responsible third parties, in the event such third parties cause injury, damage, loss, delay or irregularity, the Company cannot accept responsibility or liability for third-party actions.
EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY & ASSUMPTION OF RISKS (Please read carefully)
Adventure Sports Activities involve many risks, dangers and hazards. These risks and hazards are outlined in our release of liability, waiver of claims, the assumption of risks, and indemnity Agreement which all participants are required to read and sign before participating in an Adventure Sports Activity. This Agreement will affect your legal rights should you be involved in an accident. You may obtain a copy of the Agreement from our office.
